Phil Gilbert Motor Group Rev Up Over NSW Blues Victory

It was a night to remember for the team at Phil Gilbert Motor Group (PGMG) who witnessed the QLD Maroons dynasty end with a 6-4 Game II win to the NSW Blues at Sydney’s ANZ Stadium last Wednesday.

Southern Cross Sports Marketing organised a private event at the State of Origin for over 20 of the PGMG management team, a reward from the company to thank the staff for their efforts over the last financial year.

Everything was just fabulous – the venue, the service and the game.

- Bob Goldsworthy, PGMG general manager

Held at Novotel Sydney Olympic Park overlooking ANZ Stadium, the themed PGMG pre and post-match cocktail function included premium beverages; live entertainment; big screens showcasing 100 Memorable Moments of Origin contests, a personalised NSW Blues jersey for each guest; celebrity MC Tim Gilbert; league stars Andrew Ryan, Adam MacDougall, Brett Kimmorley and Bryan Fletcher; corporate match seating and more.

Goldsworthy said, “It was a real team bonding night. The result and NSW breaking the drought certainly helped in being part of a night that NSW made history”.

“Everyone that attended said it was the most enjoyable experience they have had for a long time, and we look forward to making this our annual Phil Gilbert event”, he added.
