Hyundai Santa Fe
The sales team at Phil Gilbert Hyundai is happy and very excited with the upcoming release of the new fourth generation 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe SUV. This new large SUV from Hyundai Australia is an amazing combination of premium design, elegance, technology, innovative safety, and power. This latest Santa Fe should arrive in our showroom in July, but until it shows up, we thought we'd take you through some of the highlights and specs that are sure to delight the buyer.
Performance
Performance
The new generation Hyundai Santa Fe will be seeing some powertrain changes from last year. So far, there are two confirmed engine choices, a 2.0-litre turbo that puts out 172kW of max power and 353 Nm of torque and a 2.2-litre turbo-diesel that produces 144kW of max power and 436 Nm of torque. Both of these engines replace the 3.3-liter V6 that had previously powered the Santa Fe. To give you full control of this large SUV, there will be a new 8-speed automatic transmission as well as a new suspension with external vertical shock absorbers. The Hyundai Santa Fe will be larger with a length of 4,770mm, a width of 1,890mm, and a longer wheelbase of 2765mm. According to Hyundai, this SUV will contain 15% more high strength steel than any vehicle in its range. The models shown at the 2018 Geneva Auto Show also featured an all-wheel-drive system with Hyundai's exclusive HTRAC system that offers three selectable drive modes: Normal, Sport, and Smart.
Safety
Safety
As far as safety, the Hyundai Santa Fe will feature SmartSense technology. Some of the more interesting available safety features include forward collision warning, autonomous emergency braking, smart cruise control, blind spot detection, rear cross traffic alert, lane departure warning, and lane change assist. For the first time, the 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe will also get Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist and Safety Exit Assist. There is also the in-house developed Rear Occupant Alert system that monitors the rear seats to detect passengers when the driver leaves the car
Style
As with all the Hyundai vehicles available from Phil Gilbert Hyundai, the 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe is striking to look at. All drivers alike will love the expressive and powerful front that includes twin headlamps, the Cascading Grille, and larger windows. The interior of the Hyundai Santa Fe was completely reworked and is now much more ergonomic with a dashboard that features an infotainment screen that is easy to read and access. This will be the first digital information panel available from Hyundai.
Technology
While we touched on the dash, there are some other important tech features to be found on the 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe. According to industry experts, there will be an available 8.5-inch heads-up display as well as a standard Qi wireless smartphone charger. For those who really love their music, there will also be an available 12-speaker premium surround sound system from Infinity.
