Honest Communication
At Phil Gilbert Hyundai, we believe in honest communication with our customers. When it’s time for you to come in for a service, our friendly and trained staff will clearly explain all of the work that we need to perform without using any confusing jargon. That way, you’ll know exactly what you’re paying for and how much before we begin work.

Wheels & Tyres
We like to make sure our customers understand the importance of their tyres in keeping your car on the road, as well as their role in handling, braking, steering, etc. To make sure your tyres are performing optimally, we suggest regularly checking your tyre pressure. If you need assistance with this, or if you need your tyres replaced or your wheels balanced and aligned, you can always come to us.
Batteries
A healthy battery is important for all of the functioning of your vehicle, from starter motor to lights and more. The average life span of a battery is 4 to 6 years, so we like to recommend regular battery health checks so that you’re not surprised with a dead battery one day and turn up late for work.
If your battery is making that fatal slow turn over sound, you’ll probably need to have your system checked immediately.
We probably don’t need to tell you how important your brakes are, so if you have any of these warning sings, come in and let us check your brakes immediately:
- Vibration when you apply brakes
- Squealing or grinding noises from brakes
- Ineffective brakes
- Spongy or hard brake pedals
Pollen Filters
Probably not something we worry about often, but pollen filters are important because they remove things like dust and bacteria from inside the cabin. You’d be surprised what a difference replacing these filters can make in the cleanliness of the air, the performance of heating and air conditioning, as well as allergy related problems.
Steering and Suspension
Nobody likes a bumpy ride. Your steering system, shock absorbers, springs, bushes and linkages all work together to ensure that you have a smooth and comfortable ride. If the jostling is starting to get to you, come to us so we can perform a Platetronic shock absorber test to measure compression, rebound and distribution.
